Bellydance
Belly dance is the world’s oldest dance and is derived from natural movements of the human form.
You find elements of belly dance in every native dance form and it has influenced and inspired many modern dances.
Belly dance began as a way of easing muscle aches and keeping the population fit and healthy for everyday work such as foraging and later working in fields as well as continuing the species through sex and child birth. Many moves mimic the natural pelvic movements required which is why many in the west view it as being illicit or racy.
